Keep your drive on the right side of the fairway,
but there is OB right of the tree line so be careful. This
will leave you a short iron in. The green slants from back
to front. Keep the ball short of the pin if you can. PAR
4.....293 yards.
-
Keep your drive on the right side, as the
ball will come off the hillside back to the fairway. Keep
your approach shot short of the pin if it's a red flag.
PAR 4.....327 yards.
-
Green slants back to front, yes, once again
try to keep your tee shot short of the pin if it's a red
flag. It's nice to putt uphill whenever possible on this
course. You can play your tee shot left of this green as
it will come off the hill. Any shot short or right of this
green is asking for trouble. PAR 3.....148 yards.
-
Straight away hole on this tree lined fairway.
Fairway slopes to the right which could put your in trouble
if it goes to far right and into the trees. Good play is
a fairway wood or long iron off the tee which would leave
you with a middle iron into a small green. If you miss this
green, miss it short. PAR 4.....324 yards.
-
Alright....it's time to make a birdie. Here
is a dogleg right par 5 that can get you a stroke back on.
Keep your tee shot middle to left side of the fairway. You
want to favor left of the green on your second shot as the
ball will go right when it gets on the ground. PAR 5.....469
yards
-
Slight dogleg right. See the opening in the
trees in the foreground from the tee box...that's where
the green is. Now find the directional flag on the left
side of the fairway and that's where we need to go. Your
second shot needs to be played short of this green and it
will run on off the down slope. This is a green that you
can't go left, right or long on. PAR 4.....390 yards.
-
Finally a relaxing hole. Short par three from
an elevated tee box to a green that sits in a little valley.
Ball will release from a shot off the right hillside. PAR
3.....114 yards.
-
A short par four dogleg right that I highly
encourage that is played with a tee ball straight away at
about 175 to 200 yards. This will put you in the middle
of the fairway and a wedge shot into this green. If you
want to grip it and rip it, you may try to cut the corner
and fly the trees and at about 235 yards you may reach the
green. Be aware that there is a pond in front of the green
and everything right of the tree line is OB. PAR 4 .....270
yards.
-
Straight away par five where you can let the
shaft out of the driver. Play your tee shot down the right
side as the ball will advance forward off the hillside.
Second shot narrows up around the green. Out of bounds can
be in play if you push your second shot right. A good second
shot should leave a short iron or wedge into this green
and leave yourself short of the flag. PAR 5.....545 yards.
-
After a drink and a sandwich at the turn,
it's now back to the course. An uphill straight away hole
here. Let the driver fly. You might want to favor the right
side of the hole to give you a better look at the green.
This will leave you with a short iron into this severe back
to front green....you must be short of any flag on this
green. PAR 4.....307 yards.
-
Another straight away hole with the fairway
sloping to the left. Second into this elevated green should
be short of the pin. PAR 4.....330 yards.
-
Probably the easiest hole on the golf course.
This dogleg right par five can lead to a birdie, if not
an eagle for the long hitters. Place your tee shot down
the left side of the fairway as this hole slopes to the
right. This will leave you an iron shot off a slight downhill
lie. Get the strokes back here, because the fun is about
to begin. Just be careful of the creek that runs the length
of the down the right side. PAR 5.....477 yards.
-
TOUGH...TOUGH...TOUGH Par three. Try to hit
your tee shot left of the green as the hillside will funnel
right into a green that is three tiered and as tricky as
any green out here. If you two putt this hole, pat yourself
on the back. PAR 3.....161 yards.
-
Slight dogleg right. Hit your tee shot to
the right as the hillside will help you get back to a fairway
that slopes to the left. This should leave you with a short
iron into a green that you must leave yourself short of
the pin. PAR 4.....320 yards.
-
Uphill par three that plays a little longer
than listed. Ball will hold if you hit this green, but you
can always play the hillside on the left and hope for a
good bounce. You can't go right of this green and expect
to score well on this hole. Green slopes back to front,
so I don't have to tell you about a red pin placement. PAR
3.....210 yards.
-
"THE MONSTER"! Voted the toughest hole in
Tuscarawas County! Are you mentally drained yet? Well, there
we go. Hit a tee shot that that you can carry around 200
yards. Play your tee shot up the right side of the fairway
as it slopes to the left. There are lateral hazards if you
go to far left or right off the tee. Take a mid to long
iron up the right side for you second shot and pray for
a good bounce back into the fairway. This will leave you
about 150 yards to an elevated green. This is a true three
shot par five. Make a bogie or better and trust me...you
have conquered the "Monster". PAR 5.....519 yards.
-
Now that you finished the toughest hole in
the county, sit back and enjoy the best view in the county.
In the distance you can see the gold dome of the County
Courthouse in downtown New Philadelphia, three mile away.
This is a short hole with an elevation drop of around four
hundred feet. This is a drivable hole. This does require
a straight tee shot as the woods on the left and right have
claimed many golf balls. Take
advantage of this hole. PAR 4....294 yards.
-
Naturally we want you to finish on the toughest
par four at the Valley. At 437 yards, a sloping fairway,
a creek on the right side of the fairway, a creek separating
the fairway and water left of the green. Place your drive
down the left side of this fairway. This leaves a long iron
into this green that should be played to the right. Take
a chip and a putt for your par and head to the 19th Hole
to go over your round. PAR 4.....437 yards
